The Second China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo is to be held in Changsha City, Hunan Province from 26 to 28 September 2021.
The China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE), jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM) and the People’s Government of Hunan Province, is a major platform for economic and trade cooperation under the FOCAC mechanism. The Second China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo is to be held in Changsha City, Hunan Province from 26 to 28 September 2021, with the theme of “New Start, New Opportunities, New Accomplishment”. The Expo will have two main venues (Changsha International Conference Center and Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center) and a sub-venue (China-Africa Economic and Trade Innovation Park) at the Gaoqiao Grand Market.
The Expo is designed to be held in the form of meetings, exhibitions, and consultations, with four major events (senior officials’ meetings, banquet, exhibition tour, and the opening ceremony & the China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum), four forums (Forum on China-Africa Food and Agro-products Safety, Forum on China-Africa Healthcare Cooperation, Forum on China-Africa Infrastructure Cooperation, Forum on China-Africa Post-pandemic Industry Chain Cooperation), business consultations and one supporting event. The exhibition includes 7 exhibition sections (China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Exhibition Area, Guest Countries of Honor Exhibition Area, African Commercial Goods Exhibition Area, the International Cooperation with Africa Exhibition Area, Chinese Provinces/Autonomous Regions/Municipalities Exhibition Area, Chinese Enterprises and Products Exhibition Area, and an Online Exhibition). The Second CAETE will be held in an innovative form with more online meetings and exhibitions, including “cloud conferences”, “cloud exhibitions” and “cloud consultations”.
